If you want the best pizza ever, go to Pizza By The Chef. It doesn't look like the best when u see the place, but the pizza is out of this world. They are a little bit out of the way, but worth the drive definitely. The staff is great and so helpful. If u like pizza, u will be so happy that u found this place. GO!!!!

We eat here almost every week. We're almost local and think this is the best pizza in the area. The service is good, the crust is outstanding and the salads are some of the best I've ever had. Their dressings are home made and very, very good.

The best pizza I have ever eaten. I myself like weird things (not that they are weird!) but other than the typical pepperoni. Their custom pizzas and a pitcher of dark beer and its on!

I have eaten with friends in the past at the Branson West location and the food and service was pretty good there. We decided to run by and pick up a couple of pizzas to go and bake it at home from the Hollister location. The lady at the counter mentioned their special where you could buy a large specialty pizza and get a medium cheese pizza for half price which was $4.00 off. I asked her if I could get that deal, but instead of a medium cheese, if they could make it a large cheese and I noted that she wouldn't have to give it to me at half price but could she still take $4.00 off? She acted like I was trying to cheat her or something even though what I was suggesting was in her favor since it wasn't as good a deal as the original deal they offered; we just needed a little more pizza. I thought I'd give her another chance, and tried to explain I wasn't asking for 1/2 off of the large, just the same $4 off as she had offered on the medium. She was even more adamant and mentioned that she was the manager, but that the owners don't waver on their specials and she didn't have the authority to make special deals. -- Their pizza is pretty good but pricey, and after the lack of customer service I won't be back. The ingredients at Papa Murphy's are just as good and if you want to bake it at home, it's a lot cheaper than the Pizza by the Chef. Caveat Emptor...

We have ordered pizza to go several times and also had delivery - either way, it was quick and the pizza was hot and delicious. I love the supreme pizza with the garden salad. There is so much on the pizza that it is hard to eat two full pieces, which is fine with me - the left overs are even better the next day. The cesar salad is fresh and crisp and the dressing is perfect. Order one while you are checking out the movies at Blockbuster next door. Pizza and a movie!!! Great combo.

Well, we actually gave them a couple of tries to earn our business. They pizza is decent, but nothing special. But the service has been horrible both times we tried to eat there. Notice I said, "tried?" They also advertised delivery to our neighborhood. Well, we tried that too! They couldn't tell us after 10 minutes on the phone and a call-back whether they would actually deliver a pizza to us or not. I don't think I have EVER experienced a less professional bunch of folks in the restaurant industry...and yes, we talked to the owner more than once!

I stumbled onto this little pizza place in Hollister one day when I was at Lowes, and trying to avoid McDonalds. I popped in around 3pm, and the place was still hopping from the lunch business. The young man who helped me was polite and informative, as well as good-looking. He helped me decide on a delicious salad and pizza called the Ciao, which was unbelievable. I've taken my family there on several occasions, and the pizza and sandwiches are to die for. It's an 11 out of 10!

This is a small restaurant, fifty seats maybe. There was a greeter, server, cashier and busser all in one person. I was there during lunch, around 1:00 p.m. and the place is obviously doing well as most all of the tables were filled. I asked what was the best pizza for a good price and was suggested to try the Supreme. I thought of course they suggest this pizza as it is the most expensive on the menu but, this pizza was very pleasing to the eye and piled high with something like twelve toppings. The waitress says the place is family owned and operated and everything is made fresh on site like salad dressings, bread, sauce and pizza dough. They have beer, wine and soda of course. The neatest thing is that the whole place has pictures of old Volkswagens. The waitress says the owners think VW's are fun and cause people to ask questions and just relax. I would definitely go back and I recommend this place to everyone. I also saw some people eating the subs and they are huge.
