Garfield's Restaurant & Pub

"Great Food Service declining by the day"

As we live within 30 minutes of Branson we have visited this restaurant often. However, the last few visits have become incrasingly "customer UNoriented". We were actually there yesterday - sat for 20 to 25 minutes before a server even came to take our drink order. When trying to place the drink order along with our food order (since we had been waiting for several minutes we already had decided what we wanted) - we were advised it would be a "few" minutes because the computers were down. My husband inquired as to how long a "few minutes" would be and were advised some other folks had waited for one hour for a sandwich. I was really looking forward to the walnut cranberry chicken salad but at this juncture we decided another hour would not be suitable as it was already 1:40pm. Restaurant should have a contingency plan for when the computers might be down and I really don't see the corralation between the computer being down and the chef being able to cook our food. Unless I change my mind I will not return.

We found Garfield's by accident. However, the food and service made Garfield's our fav dinner spot while on our vacation in Branson. THE best French Dip I have ever had! Service was very prompt, friendly and professional...which was suprising since the atmosphere suggested typical bar/grill. We were very happy all the way around with Garfield's.

The Diversity Band playing on the deck overlooking the river was what drew us in, but the food was equally awesome. We tried the fried cheeseburger, a must for any newcomer. The bourbon chicken was great as well. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience, but the music made the meal.

I popped in here while the wife was shopping and had a fantastic Bacon Cheeseburger! I had them add smoke sauce and cheddar cheese, and while a bit messy (they gave me extra napkins before I got the burger), was very tasty and moist. We are going to try to have dinner there on or next trip to Branson!

First impression was server was chewing gum. I have certain diet requirements and the server had trouble understanding my order. The food I ordered was good & I received the dinner just as I requested. However, when the bill arrived I had been charged for more than what I had ordered. I like the atmosphere of Garfields, I frequent often in other cities.

WE go to branson 2 -3 times a month. We like going to the Landing. We had great service and the view is beautiful. My steak was very overcooked though but everything else was great.

We both ordered burgers of some sort, they were just ordinary. The fries were good, but the onion rings were a big disappointment - looked and tasted suspiciously like an item you can buy in the frozen section of your local grocery store. Atmosphere not unpleasant but also not memorable. At a nearby booth the glass globe on the hanging light overhead had been partially broken and was left in place, sharp edges and all, made me nervous, as in "big safety hazard".

I went to Garfield's with my family back in October, the food was great. A situation came up and I was not pleased. So I contacted the Resturant and the manager contacted me and resolved the issue. He was a caring and compassionate person. I certainly appreciate his efforts to make the resturant experience at Garfield's a good one. Thank you SO if you have not went to Garfield's you need to take the time to go and have a wonderful dining expericence!!
